If you’re based in Singapore and tried to order the paperback of Strength Through the Messy & Beyond on Amazon.com, you may have hit a wall — the book shows as unavailable, or won’t ship to your address. You’re not doing anything wrong. This is a known Amazon quirk affecting Singapore specifically, and it’s easy to work around once you know where to look.
The short version
Some Amazon marketplaces don’t ship physical books to Singapore. Others do, reliably and quickly. Here’s what we’ve actually tested:
🟢 Amazon.co.jp — works well, fast shipping (ordered one week, delivered within days), and the lowest shipping cost of the options we tried
🟡 Amazon.de — also ships to Singapore, but shipping costs run higher
🔴 Amazon.com — does not currently ship the paperback to Singapore
🔴 Amazon.com.au — does not currently ship to Singapore either
How to order from Amazon.co.jp
- Go to amazon.co.jp
- Search “Strength Through the Messy & Beyond” or “Danielle van der Leest”
- Select the paperback and check out as normal — Amazon automatically converts pricing to SGD at checkout, so no manual currency conversion needed
You don’t need to read Japanese to do this — the checkout flow works the same as any other Amazon site, and delivery estimates and tracking are provided in English.
